CDK Troubleshooting – Exporting ROs

You are here:
< All Topics

One error you might get while exporting is “ControlXX is required for account YYYY.  Please add a control or use a different account.”  If you are sending that RO to a different A/R accounts then normal (i.e. Policy, New Car Inventory, Lot Damage, etc.) then you may not have put the correct control in the Overrides fields. You can go to Cluster Accounts, highlight any account and press Change.  Press the button at the end of the Account code screen it will pop up a list of the account codes Rome has gotten from CDK.  Find the account in question and see if there is a control in either of the control columns.

Here is a list of the controls in ADP and what we need to select in Rome.

A/R Customer – In Rome, we should use the customer number

Reference – In Rome we should use ADP RO number

SrvcAdv/Tech ID – If this a labor account we should use Tech ID, anything else we should use Writer ID

Vehicle – We will need to get the Stock number of the vehicle from CDK and put it in one of the User-Defined fields in the Misc of the RO.  Then we use User Field 1-6 depending on which User field we entered it in Rome.

User-defined – CDK is not going to check this against anything, but you must send something.  I usually just put the ADP RO number and if the customer wants something different, they will have to let us know what they are looking for.
