Another common error is the history won’t go over because the customer is not matched to the vehicle.  This means that the customer that was selected is not the owner of the vehicle in CDK.  You may try to link the vehicle again and choose Update CDK but you need to make sure that is what you want to do.  If the customer in CDK is the previous owner then it is OK to update and link the vehicle to the new customer.

One scenario where you do NOT want to update the customer is when the body shop is doing work for the Sales Dept AFTER the car was sold to the new customer.  The is an internal RO where the Sales Dept is the customer.  When you link the vehicle it is going to say that the customer (Sales Dept) does not match the vehicle.  If you Update CDK it will revert the vehicle back to being owned by the dealership and that will cause all kinds of problems.
