Day Clock – NEW FEATURE!
The day clock is a new feature to allow users to punch in/out of the shop for time and attendance. Regardless of your role at the shop, the clock allows for accurate time tracking for every employee. Our customers were tired of having their employees use a separate time clock system to track time and attendance which forced payroll to be run in two different systems. The setup is simple and easy to use and a few steps can have you set up to use this system immediately for your shop! There are just a few steps needed to take to get your shop set up and running with Day Clock.
- Contact ROME Support at 800-373-ROME (7663) and say you want to have the Day Clock setup.
- Rome Support will update your Rome to the most current version.
- Provide Rome an hourly rate to enter the system for each employee.
- Rome will set up your system to track the logins.
- Icons will need to be added to each workstation for clocking in and out or one computer must be available for clocking in and out in a common area.
Simply use your Rome username and password to log in. A screen will open to the Day Clock. It will show your start time from your login. The timer on the bottom left times out the screen after a few seconds to finalize the login. Simply, log in again to the Day clock to clock out and that’s it! Managers can use the Timecard feature to pull timecard entries to run a report for Start and End times for each work Date of the payroll period. Open Rome and go to File – Payroll – Timecard – Manual Time Entry to view Timecard Entries for your staff. You will be able to make edits in case your employee misses their clock in or out. File – Payroll – Timecard – Print Timecard will print the time card reports for you to use to send to your accounting department.
