How Can We Help?
November 2021 Release Notes
November 10, 2021
1) List Displays – added a horizontal scroll bar to most list displays in the program. Most columns in the lists are now resizable. This is to complement the features added recently to remember the screen and list display sizes.
a. The tag column to check multiple items in a list is usually not resizable.
b. List displays that involve the forecast grid (where the 15 task headers need to align correctly) are limited in their resize and scroll capabilities.
3) Accounts Receivable Report – expanded the options for what to display instead of the claim number. User can now also choose either the CDK RO number or the Dealer Track RO number.
4) QBO Asset Based Accounting – added an option to manage cost transactions in QBO as an asset like how it is tracked in the Quick Books IIF interface.
a. QBO Setup Options: there is a new account codes tab available
i. Use Asset Based Cost for WIP – check this box to use different account codes than the RM cost balance account for vendor invoice and vendor credit transactions sent to QBO.
ii. Part Inventory Cost – this is an optional global account code (QBO ID) used for part vendor invoices and part vendor credits for asset-based cost.
iii. Sublet Inventory Cost – this is an optional global account code (QBO ID) used for sublet vendor invoices for asset-based cost.
b. QBO Account Setup: note that the Quick Books options available on account setup in RM are for the IIF interface. The QBO options are set on the account code data entry screen within the QBO interface.
i. Cost Inventory – if the check box for asset-based cost is checked in setup options, this field is available.
1. On the cost balance account code, enter the inventory account (QBO ID) for part vendor invoices/credits or sublet vendor invoices.
2. This will override the optional global account (if any) entered in the QBO setup options.
ii. Cost GL Transaction Accounts –
1. Enter a cost credit and a cost debit account (QBO ID) to generate a GL balance transaction when the RO is posted to QBO.
2. Both the credit and the debit accounts must be entered for the GL transaction to be created.
3. Note that the RO Cost GL Transaction feature must be turned on in QBO setup options (on the Repair Orders tab).
5) Email Digital Signature Certificate – added the ability to send a digital signature certificate with an email sent from RM.
a. Installation Options:
i. Digital Signature Certificate
1. Never – never send a certificate.
2. When Available – send a certificate when it is available, and do not post an error when the certificate is not available.
3. Always – send a certificate and post an error (the email will not be sent) when the certificate is not available.
ii. Do Not Use SHA-256 Hash – if a shop has an old email server, this checkbox may need to be checked to use an older security hash technique to decrypt the signature certificate. This option will probably not have to be used.
b. Technician Setup: like installation options but used when setting up an email address specific to a technician.
c. Report Destination Options: when a report is configured to be sent by email, there are options available on the non-Outlook secure server tab.
d. Email (from main File Menu): there are options available on the secure server tab.
6) VSSTA Scanning – removed the date/time stamp from the file jacket image name so that the images can be set up as custom folders in the file jacket (and be required to close a RO). The four images generated are:
a. VSSTA Pre-Scan
b. VSSTA Post-Scan
c. VSSTA ADAS
d. VSSTA Diag

2) QBO Interface – made changes to the RO payment export
a. A QBO customer is required to export a payment to QBO. The QBO customer (if it does not exist) will be created prior to exporting the payment.
b. QBO Setup Options has a new option for including the QBO RO transaction number in the QBO transaction (to apply the payment automatically to the QBO invoice). Go to Setup Options à Payments à RO Document Status
i. Include RO Document If Available – the QBO RO invoice number will be included in the request if it can be included, but the transaction will export without the QBO transaction if it is not present.
ii. Do Not Export Without QBO RO Document – all payments (and credits) that do not have a QBO RO document number will be filtered from the export payments list display. The QBO RO Document number is required.
iii. Do Not Include RO Document – the QBO RO document number will not be included in the payment transaction sent to QBO.
