Comfort Food During a Quarantine

Homemade “No-Knead Bread” Recipe

Easy to Make and Taste Great!

Being quarantined is the perfect opportunity to try a new recipe and create a comforting dish. Nothing smells or tastes better than homemade bread, right out of your oven!

This recipe is from Babish.

  • 400 grams bread flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon yeast
  • 10 grams salt
  • 1 1/3 cups water

Combine flour, yeast, salt and whisk together. Add water and gently mix until a ball forms. Cover with plastic wrap and let sit for overnight (12 – 24 hours).

Turn out onto a heavily floured surface and punch and shape, but do not knead. Once smooth and formed into ball, place on parchment paper, cover with a floured kitchen towel.

Let it sit for 1 – 2 hours until it grows by about 50%. Meanwhile, preheat oven as hot as it can go, to at least 400 degrees. Place your pan inside the oven during the pre-heating.

Once the oven is pre-heated, drop the loaf, still on parchment paper, into the pan. Sprinkle with water. Cover and bake for about 30 minutes, sprinkling with water again about halfway through baking time.

Let  the loaf cool before slicing. Yum!
